Fire Protection
I am an experienced, Certified Fire Protection Specialist with years of experience as both a firefighter and an industrial fire protection engineer. I can help you evaluate your fire protection plans and sprinkler systems, help save you time and money in the insurance underwriting process by preparing your fire protection assessments in advance. Most of all, I can help you avoid the Big loss and help you recover after a loss occurs.
Confined Spaces
Confined spaces can be deadly. You need a process to systematically help your workers manage the hazards of confined space. The first step in the process is properly identifying and classifying confined spaces. This seemingly simple process is where many companies and workers go wrong. Using my simple system, it has never been easier. My written program, forms and power point training program give your company the advantage in quickly and safely managing your confined space exposures.
Fall Protection
Fall protection must address falls from elevation, such as stairs, elevated platforms, equipment and machinery. Falls on the same level must also be addressed and include slips and trips on indoor and outdoor surfaces in all types of weather. I can help you identify your exposures and develop effective control plans.
Lockout/Tagout
Industrial lockout tagout programs must address both maintenance and production needs. I can help the customer identify what types of training are needed for each group of employees, how to coordinate the customer's lockout tagout program with any visiting contractors, help develop complex machine specific lockout procedures and conduct audits of existing programs to evaluate their effectiveness.
Forklift
Industrial fork lifts are involved in many accidents and fatalities. They operate in close quarters with people and other lifts. Safe operating practices are critical, and training is the key. My industrial fork lift classes are intended for current experienced operators, and focus on safety not how to operate the lift. Experienced employees respond better to this type of training.
